The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it's alarmed with regards to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach read more Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day.
